(LIVE PROGRAM)Everyday Ethical Challenges in the Practice of Law

November 18, 2010

This program will address common ethical issues facing practitioners in a variety of practice settings, with particular emphasis on New York's new Rules of Professional Conduct, adopted by the Appellate Division on April 1, 2009. Our panelists will discuss how to avoid conflicts among clients or between the client's and the lawyer's own interests. They will also discuss techniques for avoiding disciplinary complaints, malpractice claims or sanctions motions. Hypotheticals will be used to encourage attendees' discussion and to focus them on practical problems that can arise in their practices.
