This CLE course will provide a comprehensive overview of the legal aspects of the entertainment industry in music, theater, fashion, and independent film finance. This CLE will include a review of types of film financing, a walkthrough of documentation required and key components in structuring, representing and advising producers and/or financiers in film finance. This seminar will cover the following key topics: Fashion: Copyright & Useful Articles, Trademark & Aesthetic Functionality; Theater Law: 100 Years of Legal History; The Present State of Broadway; Music: Recording & Publishing Agreements, Licenses, Royalties; Film Finance: Sources of Financing in Today's Market.
