Recent financial reform legislation and ongoing rule-making promise to dramatically overhaul futures and derivatives markets. This program will provide an overview of futures and derivatives law and regulation as well as the impact that legal and regulatory changes are having on related market structures, participants and products. In particular, the session will examine the important new legislative and regulatory developments related to futures exchanges, over-the-counter derivatives markets, centralized clearing facilities and trading platforms.
