In today's internet and technology world, patents are of supreme importance. Many sophisticated technologies cannot be commercialized without licensing one or more patents. And patent owners want to maximize their royalty streams and protect their intellectual property. Topics to be addressed at this seminar include structure of royalty payments, the benefits of exclusive v. non-exclusive licenses, obtaining security interest in patents, infringement claims, grant of rights, enforcement, reporting obligations, assignability, quality control and international issues.
