(Live Program) Professional Responsibilities of the Lawyer Who Volunteers for Charities

This 1.5-hour ethics program will explore when the personal volunteer activities of lawyers intersect with their professional responsibility as lawyers. The ABA model rules of professional conduct are discussed in the context of scenarios involving a lawyer passionate about his/her volunteer activities. The ABA model rules which will be discussed include Client/Lawyer Relationships in the context of: Safekeeping Property; Declining or Terminating Representation; Confidentiality of Information; Conflict of Interest; Expediting Litigation; Direct Contact with Prospective Clients and more.
