Is mediation the right career path for you? Whether or not you have taken an initial mediation training, you may be considering whether you should step into the practical world of mediation as a profession. Can you sustain a career as a mediator while continuing to practice as an attorney? Can you act as both a mediator and an arbitrator? What opportunities are available to be on a court mediation roster? Is there a value in polishing your skills as a volunteer or apprentice in community mediation as you build a commercial practice? How does mediation relate to collaborative law? This seminar will discuss the nuts and bolts of mediation in New York City and offer practical advice on how to start mediating. The panelists are mediators from different backgrounds who will share their experiences and offer concrete, practical advice. The seminar will be interactive and there will be ample time for questions and answers.
