In-house counsel, individual clients, along with the Association of Corporate Counsel is leading the call for fundamental change in the delivery of legal services. There is no question that this is the loudest call yet. This is the first program in a series giving attorneys in law firms the information they need to forge effective client relationships. With globalization, cloud computing and the condition of the economy, companies are reducing their budgets for legal work; in-house counsel are reforming their management approaches and many are demanding that work be focused on value; finding solutions that work for all sides. Through an open dialogue, this program will help you determine what you need to do to strategically position your practice in the new paradigm that clients, including corporate counsel are creating and expecting. The faculty will review the progressive programming now underway at the Association of Corporate Counsel and ways to improve the productivity and efficiencies of delivering legal services. This program will be an overview of the ACC Value Challenge and the elements of the ACC Value Index. Subsequently, the series of programs will detail the what, why and how of: The new metrics of the corporate legal department; project and process management in law firms-what is really happening and what this means for your practice; "mirror image" project management to align with the client; the ethical implications of a more streamlined approach to legal service; what parts of your practice will be impacted by the new client standards?
