October 12, 2011
In June 2011, the Supreme Court issued more patent decisions than in the preceding three years. The Court tackled induced infringement, the presumption of validity, and for the first time, the Bayh-Dole act. And the Court recently granted a petition for certiorari in Prometheus Labs, which will give it another chance to address the issue of patentable subject matter, and it seems other cases may be on their way, including those relating to the patenting of gene sequences and the defense of patent prosecution estoppel. Join our panel of experts as they discuss the implication of the Supreme Court's recent cases and give their predictions for the Court's upcoming cases.
