Following up on the successful Litigation 101 course presented earlier this year, which covered basic New York State litigation practice, this video replay will cover more "tricks of the trade". In the first hour, participants learned how to file a motion for a temporary restraining order and preliminary injunction and review both the procedure for filing and issues the New York Courts have reviewed in granting or denying such motions in various types of cases. In the second hour, settlement agreements will be discussed including issues to think about when putting together an agreement that works for your client. Topics included the scope of releases, issues with confessions of judgments, and "on the record' settlement agreements in New York State.
