This program will deal with the complexity of locating foreign and international law and proving their substance in U.S. courts. It will offer practical advice for, among other things, accessing foreign and international law, identifying and using expert witnesses, and presenting foreign and international legal issues to U.S. judges. This program will highlight cases involving Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 44.1 and the Alien Tort Statute.
